The SEAside sculptural furniture is mostly made of recycled materials. The decorative sides of the pieces uses detail weaving using reclaimed fish netting that relates to the painted top. The table top has been hand painted inspired by coral, angle fish, the clown trigger fish and moths from the country I call home. The idea began as a sketch integrating a quad bike tyre as the base, then I thought of what other recycled materials I could gather to make this piece starting with the junk that was in my shed. Later I had gathered timber frame and plywood offcuts to use. The table top is protected with a 6mm polished edge perspex. The ottoman pictured has my Coral Fingers textile upholstered to the seat. They are practical and beautiful pieces of usable art and robust for family living.
