Brevity

My hair 

My skin 

My curves 

My softness 

My mind 

My strength, my will 

My heart, my spirit, my soul 

I think, I do, I say 

I learn, I receive 

I contemplate, I reflect, I respond 

I stand, I brace, I shield, I feel, I heal 

I influence, I teach, I impart, I give 

I pray 

I weep, I laugh, I anger, I grieve, I hope 

I love, I am loved 

I labour, I nurture, I sacrifice, I release, I forgive 

I weather, I fade 

I live 

I lived, I pass to Eternity 

What traces of me remain

But the glimpses of me in the child birthed from my womb

I carved and formed a sculpture of myself in the sand and photographed the changes to the form on the incoming tide. The photographic images are a metaphor of my life and of that yet to come.
